After the signings of André Silva, Mateo Musacchio, Ricardo Rodríguez, Franck Kessié, Fabio Borini, and the upcoming transfer of Hakan Calhanoglu, AC Milan’s sporting director, Massimiliano Mirabelli, has confirmed that the club’s transfer dealings are all thanks to Football Manager.
In an exclusive quote, Mirabelli has told us “we no longer need human scouts to identify transfer targets anymore, instead we have one 20 year old locked in a room telling us which players around Europe have five star potential. The new system is a lot easier, and a lot cheaper”.
With AC Milan signing an impressive number of potential world class players, it’s left us to wonder how Fabio Borini managed to get a transfer to I Rossoneri, but this has been answered by the fact “he scored 25 goals for Sunderland last season, including a double in the Champions League final”. Hopefully he can repeat the same for Milan in the upcoming 2017/18 season.
